Communitarianism is the new vision for Communism ~ for “You”

Found this article on the Whatcom Excavator and decided to put together a collage of items that show how this is not a hoax.  This is not a joke.  This is a plan which has been well thought out, well funded, global in scope and well on its way.

Wildlands Projet re-introduces endangered species to public lands

The “Wildlands Project” is the impetus to re-introduce species and lock-up public land, making it off limits to humans for hunting, fishing, skiing of all types, hiking of all types, mountain biking, et al.  This is an example of what that will look like for those who are fortunate enough to live in rural America.Sus Devp (small)

Whatcom County considering the implementation of Ruckelshaus & the Natural Resources Market Place; Hands Off Our HOMES / FARMS / BUSINESSES / CHURCHES / BODIES / PROPERTY!

A major article posted from a local source (wish the local newspapers provided this type of insight) covers an impending ACTION by the Whatcom County Council to move forward the implementation of the “Washington State Ruckelshaus, Watershed Advisory Commission Board; 2011-HB 1886” and the “Natural Resources Marketplace”.  “How do you say? Hello Cap and Trade!”  The WC Council sent out a quickie bid (available on the WC website for one week?) for a “Request for Proposal” on how they can meld these two property taking regulations into Whatcom County Code.

Here is a small taste of the article with a link to the full story and a great video of a courageous woman speaking to her Council about the dangers of Agenda 21/Sustainable Development.

Everything is an action plan:
    • A – Agenda 21

    • C – Community

    • T – Teamwork

    • I – In

    • O – Operation

    • N – Now

Major Alarm - RFP Kick-Starting Ruckelshaus and NRM Supposedly for "Ag" Is Looming

10/03/2011

WE have previously alerted readers about eco-activist efforts to take “planning” to a shocking new level in Whatcom County.  We dredged on the “Natural Resources Marketplace” (NRM) and the “Ruckelshaus Bill.”
WE have just discovered that Whatcom County Planning has moved ahead like a rocket to kick-start both of these mechanisms.   How are they pulling this off?
Under the cover of “agricultural conservation,” proponents of central ecology control through the Natural Resources Marketplace and Ruckelshaus have steadily taken a very firm grip on the Whatcom County Agriculture Advisory Committee.   Through an elaborate protracted process including a special public-private partnership with eco-activist group Farm Friends, this committee authored the Agricultural Strategic Plan (ASP – yes, like the snake).   The ASP (read it) says Whatcom County government, working with the Natural Resources Marketplace group and others, should manipulate the tangible and intangible ecological resources of all property in the county.  They're talking watersheds.  And they're talking about public and private property.  And all has been framed saying the ASP will enhance and protect agriculture "for future generations."   A person would think this is nice, that it will assure that 100,000 acres of land will be actively farmed, but that's a figleaf.   It's a ruse for convoluted growth management that will be in the hands of a tight cadre that we don't elect, and can't eject.

What Can You Do?

Everyday someone asks me; “Okay so I know things are messed up, now what can I do to help?”  On October 15th, 2011, the local chapter of CAPR will be holding a forum with experts in the field of environmentalism, economics, politics, and law to talk about how we can “restore” the American Dream” of private property rights and civil liberty.

Mark this one on your calendar and share it with your contact list.  Let those who scheme to destroy the American Dream for the Collective good, hear us roar!

The Right Thing or the Act of Tyrants?

On June 9, 2011, President Barack Obama passed by executive order the “White House Rural Council to Strengthen Rural Communities”.  This order gives access to federal money to pay NGO’s to go out into our rural communities and create zones of acceptance into this alliance which is directly tied to ICLEI (Bellingham/Whatcom County have already signed onto ICLEI, given grant money and written into our City and County Charters language that supports ICLEI) Solar Farmand Agenda 21.  Through grants that have federal strings attached they hope to gain acceptance of the “green zone” into the bread baskets of our nation“He who controls the food, controls the people!”, as quoted by Thomas Jefferson.  I can see the wind and solar farms dotting the nation of what once was the bread basket, soon to be a dead and barren zone.

Is this the right thing to do? Educate yourself and spread the word  to your friends, family and especially to the millions of rural farmers and property owners, that these warm and fuzzy “green zones” are similar in nature to the multitude of “neighborhood associations” that have sprung up in most urban areas.  The purpose of these associations is that you essentially give up a good portion of your property rights, with the promise that this will protect your neighborhood.  What it also does is it gives unelected people taxing authority over your property to cover their costs of writing up regulations which can/will impede your ability to do with your property what has been zoned legal for you to do.  These rural community councils are not elected, they are appointed by political leaders who have bought into the need to develop “green zones”.  As stated in the American Thinker article: October 28, 2009; UN Agenda 21 - Coming to a Neighborhood near You; By Scott Strzelczyk and Richard Rothschild, these types of actions make for strange bedfellows.  If you don’t already know how Agenda 21, ICLEI, LGS, Neighborhood Associations and now Rural Council’s plan to disrupt your rights as owners of private property, please click here and pay close attention to this video.

The video’s below cover the executive order signed by POTUS on June 9, 2011, Michelle Obama’s endorsement that POTUS is doing what he see’s as the long term goal of what’s right (energy prices will necessarily soar) for America, Van Jones kick-off campaign for President Obama’s slogan “Rebuild the Dream” (from the former Green Czar), and the head of the AFL-CIO, Richard Trumpka, pledging 12 million Union Members to the “Rebuild the Dream” campaign.  Since Spain lost more jobs than they gained after they implemented their “green economy”, I find it hard to believe that today’s American Union members cant’ see the forest beyond the trees here.  What I mean by that is, Mr. Trumpka is selling bup-kiss to the Union membership with his pledge to endorse the “greening of the American economy”.

Please watch the videos and decide; “Is this is the “right’ thing for America?”

East Coast Fisherman being Regulated out of the Fishing Industry

The Drudge Report had a story which is all too common to this Country; government regulation is destroying the livelihood of the those within the industry.  Examples of this can be found throughout the past 40 years.

  • Fishing on the West Coast destroyed by the “Boldt” decision and the regulation that followed the judges decision.
  • Timber industry gutted due to the infamous “Spotted Owl” habitat scare and regulated out of existence.
  • American car manufacturing destroyed through government meddling of labor, unions, standards and quotas.
  • Banking threatened due to the removal of “Glass-Speigel”, Fannie and Freddie mandates to lend to unsecure borrowers, and federal approval of mergers creating institutions which they (the government) deemed too big to fail.
  • Farming industry currently in danger due to government subsidies, regulations of fertilizers, setbacks and mandates of farming plans where farmers are fined if they are found out of compliance with their government “approved” plan.

One could go on-and-on with once thriving industries that have been regulated and micro-managed out of existence, but you decide as you read these ‘2’ stories.  The first story is from the website of the “Environmental Defense Fund” as they glowingly report on their program called “Catch-Share” (LAPPs).  The second story are the East Coast Fisherman who are barely maintaining their livelihood with what’s allowed them through the “Catch-Share” program. It is reported that many of the fisherman have committed suicide due to devastation from the loss of their “fishing” rights.

Catch Shares (LAPPs): A Promising Solution

A new way to revive fisheries and fishing communities

Catch shares (LAPPs) reward innovation and help fisheries to maximize efficiency.

Catch shares (LAPPs) reward innovation and help fisheries to maximize efficiency.

More In-Depth Information

In the 1970s, starting in Australia, New Zealand and Iceland, a new approach to managing fisheries began to take hold.

Known as "catch shares" or Limited Access Privilege Programs (LAPPs), this type of system dedicates a secure share of fish to an individual fisherman, community or fishery association. Each year before the season begins, fishermen know how much fish they are allowed to take of the fishery's Total Allowable Catch (TAC).

Fishermen are usually allowed to buy and sell shares in order to maximize their profit. This helps drive the fishery to an efficient level and rewards innovative fishermen who can lower costs and deliver a quality product that will fetch a good price on the market.  Click here for the full report.

Fishermen Say Regulations Destroying Industry

Federal Team Reviews Effects Of Regulations

POSTED: 5:39 pm EDT May 10, 2011
UPDATED: 6:11 pm EDT May 10, 2011

SEABROOK, N.H. -- Fishermen on New Hampshire's Seacoast are warning that new fishing regulations could destroy their industry and have already caused them severe emotional stress.

The U.S. Department of Commerce has sent a team to Seabrook to look at the effects of the new regulations.

"If they don't do something to modify the fishing regulations, we won't have a fishing industry on the Seacoast, is what it boils down to," said Hampton Town Manager Fred Welch.

Many in the fishing industry said they want the federal team to do more than its stated task of creating an economic development assessment report. The team is spending three days in Seabrook and visiting five other New England fishing towns.

The new regulations are known as "catch-share." The team said they are not there to look at possible changes to the rules but rather to see what effects they are having.

"What the economic challenges are and, maybe in the future, what the economic opportunities are for the community, and we're putting together a report some time in the summer based on what we hear, as far as the challenges and opportunities for economic development in the community," said Bryan Borlik of the Department of Commerce.

While the report won't produce short-term changes, local fishermen said they were glad to share their pain on the record.

"One of the fishermen from Rye had said that there had been three suicide attempts and a half dozen divorces during this first year of catch-shares," said Bob Campbell of the Yankee Fisherman's Cooperative. "Commercial fishermen are usually pretty tight-lipped, and for something this serious to come out, I mean, you know that the whole situation is grave."

Campbell said the cooperative has lost about $750,000 in business since the new regulations went into effect.

"We're off 1.1 million pounds of fish from last year, and over a million and a half pounds from the year before," he said.

Local fishermen said they were told by the federal team not to discuss the new regulations, just their effects.

“Agenda 21” for “Dummies”

Again I say, such a screed needs very little explanation.  This posting originates from those who understand that common sense tells them; “something wicked this way comes”.  Read his words, take 10 minutes from your day to watch this YouTube video warning us about the designs that “Agenda 21” and the “ICLEI” have on you, your children, your property and what’s left of freedom and liberty in the United States of America.

Thank you Karl, for helping to spread the truth.

Agenda 21 For Dummies

I first became aware of ICLEI last month. Sure, I had heard the name "Agenda 21", but I had no idea what it was about. This has been going on for decades, under the guise of warm fuzzy names like "sustainable development", right under our noses, under the radar, out of the reach of the US Constitution, and with the help and approval of politicians from both sides of the aisle. Many so-called "non profit" community organizers are paying themselves handsome salaries with federal grant money to sue us, regulate us, and to confiscate our property rights. They are using our tax dollars against us.
The 'progressives' at ICLEI have latched on to the anthropogenic global warming (AGW) hypothesis even though there is no objective proof that it exists, and no experiment that you could run to prove it. You just have to believe, because the consequences if you do not are so dire. Where have I heard that argument before? Oh, that's right -- religion! The big difference is, the first amendment prevents government from interfering with or establishing any religion. The Church of AGW on the other hand, is somehow exempt from the same constitutional constraints.
Under the influence of ICLEI and Agenda 21, public schools are now teaching that objective truth is unknowable, so it isn't worth seeking. There's only one reason for saying that: So that upcoming generations will believe claptrap like AGW. It's a handy tool to keep people from questioning anything. Knowledge is power, and the truth will set you free.

Spilled Milk

Thomas Sowell

Thomas Sowell

Email Thomas Sowell | Columnist's Archive

Despite the old saying, "Don't cry over spilled milk," the Environmental Protection Agency is doing just that.

We all understand why the Environmental Protection Agency was given the power to issue regulations to guard against oil spills, such as that of the Exxon Valdez in Alaska or the more recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. But not everyone understands that any power given to any bureaucracy for any purpose can be stretched far beyond that purpose.

In a classic example of this process, the EPA has decided that, since milk contains oil, it has the authority to force farmers to comply with new regulations to file "emergency management" plans to show how they will cope with spilled milk, how farmers will train "first responders" and build "containment facilities" if there is a flood of spilled milk.

Since there is no free lunch, all of this is going to cost the farmers both money and time that could be going into farming-- and is likely to end up costing consumers higher prices for farm products.

It is going to cost the taxpayers money as well, since the EPA is going to have to hire people to inspect farms, inspect farmers' reports and prosecute farmers who don't jump through all the right hoops in the right order. All of this will be "creating jobs," even if the tax money removed from the private sector correspondingly reduces the jobs that can be created there.

Food Safety Act–Criminalizes the Right to Grow, Own, Trade, Transport, Share, Feed and Eat Homegrown Crops?

Thought I would provide some new information about the a new law that the ‘Lame Duck’ session is voting on to ‘improve’ our lives….This information comes from the www.asamom.org website.

Yours In Truth  Winking smile  Shelly

S510 http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s111-510, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010, may be the most dangerous bill in the history of the US. (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s111-510 )
"If accepted [S 510] would preclude the public's right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes. It will become the most offensive authority against the cultivation, trade and consumption of food and agricultural products of one's choice. It will be unconstitutional and contrary to natural law or, if you like, the will of God." It is similar to what India faced with imposition of the salt tax during British rule, only S 510 extends control over all food in the US, violating the fundamental human right to food." ~ Dr. Shiv Chopra, Canada Health whistleblower.
Monsanto says it has no interest in the bill and would not benefit from it, but Monsanto's Michael Taylor who gave us rBGH and unregulated genetically modified (GM) organisms, appears to have designed it and is waiting as an appointed Food Czar to the FDA (a position unapproved by Congress) to administer the agency it would create without judicial review if it passes.
S 510 would give Monsanto unlimited power over all US seed, food supplements, food AND FARMING.
History
In the 1990s, Bill Clinton introduced HACCP (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points) purportedly to deal with contamination in the meat industry. Clinton's HACCP delighted the offending corporate (World Trade Organization "WTO") meat packers since it allowed them to inspect themselves, eliminated thousands of local food processors (with no history of contamination), and centralized meat into their control. Monsanto promoted HACCP.
In 2008, Hillary Clinton, urged a powerful centralized food safety agency as part of her campaign for president. Her advisor was Mark Penn, CEO of Burson Marsteller*, a giant PR firm representing Monsanto. Clinton lost, but Clinton friends such as Rosa DeLauro, whose husband's firm lists Monsanto as a progressive client and globalization as an area of expertise, introduced early versions of S 510.
S 510 fails on moral, social, economic, political, constitutional, and human survival grounds.
1. It puts all US food and all US farms under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, in the event of contamination or an ill-defined emergency. It resembles the Kissinger Plan.
2. It would end US sovereignty over its own food supply by insisting on compliance with the WTO, thus threatening national security. It would end the Uruguay Round Agreement Act of 1994, which put US sovereignty and US law under perfect protection. Instead, S 510 says:
COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS.
Nothing in this Act (or an amendment made by this Act) shall be construed in a manner inconsistent with the agreement establishing the World Trade Organization or any other treaty or international agreement to which the United States is a party.
3. It would allow the government, under Maritime Law, to define the introduction of any food into commerce (even direct sales between individuals) as smuggling into "the United States." Since under that law, the US is a corporate entity and not a location, "entry of food into the US" covers food produced anywhere within the land mass of this country and "entering into" it by virtue of being produced.
4. It imposes Codex Alimentarius on the US, a global system of control over food. It allows the United Nations (UN), World Health Organization (WHO), UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the WTO to take control of every food on earth and remove access to natural food supplements. Its bizarre history and its expected impact in limiting access to adequate nutrition (while mandating GM food, GM animals, pesticides, hormones, irradiation of food, etc.) threatens all safe and organic food and health itself, since the world knows now it needs vitamins to survive, not just to treat illnesses.
5. It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US, putting control of seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other multinationals, threatening US security. See Seeds How to criminalize them, for more details.
6. It includes NAIS, an animal traceability program that threatens all small farmers and ranchers raising animals. The UN is participating through the WHO, FAO, WTO, and World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) in allowing mass slaughter of even heritage breeds of animals and without proof of disease. Biodiversity in farm animals is being wiped out to substitute genetically engineered animals on which corporations hold patents. Animal diseases can be falsely declared. S 510 includes the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), despite its corrupt involvement in the H1N1 scandal, which is now said to have been concocted by the corporations.
7. It extends a failed and destructive HACCP to all food, thus threatening to do to all local food production and farming what HACCP did to meat production put it in corporate hands and worsen food safety.
8. It deconstructs what is left of the American economy. It takes agriculture and food, which are the cornerstone of all economies, out of the hands of the citizenry, and puts them under the total control of multinational corporations influencing the UN, WHO, FAO and WTO, with HHS, and CDC, acting as agents, with Homeland Security as the enforcer. The chance to rebuild the economy based on farming, ranching, gardens, food production, natural health, and all the jobs, tools and connected occupations would be eliminated.
9. It would allow the government to mandate antibiotics, hormones, slaughterhouse waste, pesticides and GMOs. This would industrialize every farm in the US, eliminate local organic farming, greatly increase global warming from increased use of oil- based products and long-distance delivery of foods, and make food even more unsafe. The five items listed the Five Pillars of Food Safety are precisely the items in the food supply which are the primary source of its danger.
10. It uses food crimes as the entry into police state power and control. The bill postpones defining all the regulations to be imposed; postpones defining crimes to be punished, postpones defining penalties to be applied. It removes fundamental constitutional protections from all citizens in the country, making them subject to a corporate tribunal with unlimited power and penalties, and without judicial review.
