Former Socialist tells America, “Obama’s policy is socialist!”

Wouldn’t you know that the many U.S. citizen’s who came to America to get away from socialism and poverty, are the best communicators warning against the continual slide towards it.

Watch and share this video…America must hear the message.

Do Green Jobs hurt the U.S. Economy?

Fox News published her article “I had a Green Job.”  The author, Deborah Sloan, (researcher for the Center for Industrial Progress) wrote this article and within the article I found the video I have posted below.

If we are to solve the economic crisis, the debt crisis and the energy crisis, we will need to get back to the principles of putting our money into reliable products that are capable of delivering the goods “now.”  Research is a very important process to support in our private and public industries or schools.  That said, it is still research and until it has the “provable potential” to provide the stated results to a society the scale of the United States or other 1st world nations, it needs to stay in the field of research.  Do not force “green energy” that does not have the ability to provide energy to the masses.  Subsidies to help private home owners and businesses convert their homes and businesses to solar, wind or biomass energies does not pencil out at this time.  If you have the spare cash to invest in these technologies; “Go for it!”  Government’s principle role for existence are; defense, infrastructure, law enforcement, facilitation of public access to education and the assurance that lawful commerce can be done across state and national boundaries.

The role of government has changed dramatically over the past 100 years and with those changes we have lost a lot of personal liberty.  The balance of power between government and private citizen’s is tipping in the wrong direction, thus the movement to have government pick “winners and losers” for the marketplace has done a lot to create unsustainable bubbles.  The free market responds to natural occurrences and has the ability to self correct before it can devastate a whole society.  When government micromanages the economy through regulation and money supply manipulation it creates bubbles that, when burst, do create a “too big to fail” mentality.  This fear not only can, but will, devastate communities, states, nations, which will eventually occur on a global scale, as we move ever closer to a “globalized government and judiciary.”

We have clear choices for Washington State Governor

The Governor’s race in Washington State appears (to the uninformed) to be a two man race.  Well there are three people running for the Governor’s office in the State of Washington.  One of the three is a clear contrast from the other two, so if you believe as I do, that We the People need to elect principled leaders who understand, support and will defend our individual liberty (that’s ‘your” contractual guarantee to retain “your” civil liberties), then please consider spreading the word that there is a third candidate and his name is “Shahram Hadian”.

As Greece goes, so goes the Euro

When governments become too big to fail and borrow from institutions that they themselves are too big to fail, where will the people left to fend for themselves run to?  Too big to fail in monopolistic companies or governments are always a bad idea.

A message from Rep. Jim McCune, May 10, 2012

clip_image001

Dear Friends,

We are finally receiving some nice weather and I’m glad to hear the lawnmowers and trimmers fired up in the neighborhoods. There are many of us still cleaning up from the winter storms. It would be much more convenient if we didn’t have so many restrictions on how we utilize and care for our private property.

My office has received many calls from constituents commenting and lamenting on how boxed-in they feel with the never-ceasing rules and regulations directing their behavior. Authority over the use of our natural resources has been intertwined with many agencies—governmental and non-governmental. It’s rather sad that we must have permission to put overhangs on our shops to keep water off our equipment, or remove a fallen tree that is creating a water hazard, and that we could be fined for cutting down a tree on our own property. The stories are never-ending.

It’s difficult to comprehend how America (and the globe) became so enamored with the term “sustainability,” the rule-making system in place that guides policies. By reviewing the history of the concept and the background of those who funded, wrote and promoted the concept, we can see a pattern that is too obvious to ignore.

There are many pieces to understanding “sustainability.” Start by checking out the Town and Country Planning Act of 1947 in the United Kingdom (UK). It is famous for a number of its provisions. It greatly strengthened the control of local authorities over planning and land use. You can see sample chapters here. Please note the watermark UNESCO-EOLSS. The provisions in this document read like provisions in America. How did they get here?

Tracing “sustainability” is easy. Just go to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Web site. What is difficult is understanding why America is embracing and implementing this foreign agenda, not to mention sifting through the voluminous pages of research and information about it. For a visual explanation, watch this video. Yes, gaining this knowledge will require a good chunk of your time, but without this knowledge, we will continue to give away our individual rights that were given to us through the blood of our ancestors, and destroy the fabric of our liberty guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and the Washington State Constitution.

In earlier e-mail updates, I cited information about the Earth Charter (look under non-governmental organizations) and how our own Department of Ecology promotes it on their Web site. Here is an easy-to-read article from the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law that explains the Earth Charter. A constitution for the environment has been written. You can read all about it and more here. For a short synopsis, click here.

According to Noah Webster, “sustainable” means: That may be sustained or maintained. The action is not sustainable. What does “sustainability” mean today? It means a new norm for ethical living described by Gro Harlem Brundtland (first Vice-President of the Socialist International and then prime minister of Norway) in her report, Our Common Future. “Sustainability” is meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We are told that painful choices have to be made. Thus, in the final analysis, sustainable development must rest on political will. Who will define what our “needs” are? We must determine whose code of ethics we shall live by—those of our Founders or a global mix of confusion?

EDUCATION

How does education fit in with the “sustainable” agenda?

What is the focus of education today? Factual knowledge? As a reminder, here is the link to a speech by Dr. Shirley McCune (former OSPI employee under Terry Bergeson) discussing the restructuring of schools and telling us that education is no longer about teaching facts. Note, this astounding and applauded speech was back in 1989. An article titled A Changing Vision of Education by Nancy Carlsson-Paige and Linda Lantieri mirrors the vision described by Dr. Shirley McCune in her lecture. Does her philosophy align with your understanding of the purpose of education?

Now we have the federal government promising grant money to states that adopt Common Core State Standards (CCSS). We have Marc Tucker’s American Agenda for Education Reform. Marc Tucker designed the failed WASL. Marc Tucker (pg. 6) is famous for his “Dear Hillary” letter. Here is additional background on Marc Tucker’s influence on our country’s educational system, including RTTT and CCSS. Why is he considered an expert? There is no shortage of information on this subject.

BUDGETS (State and Federal)

As I mentioned in my end-of-session mailer, because of my concerns with the very low reserve it left, I could not support the supplemental budget. I also feel we can do a better job of controlling our spending. The federal government is setting a poor example for states and all entities. It is important you know what the budget breakdown looks like at the federal level. There is a trickledown effect. The state relies on a great amount of money from the federal government. The current debt at the federal level is $13 trillion. You can find a budget breakdown here: Background on Budget and Economy.

TRANSPORTATION

My interest in the history of our state’s Growth Management Act (GMA) led me to a very interesting interview with former Rep. Joe King. He said he was stuck in traffic and wanted to do something about unplanned growth. That was 25 years ago. Is the plan (GMA) that was put in place working?

Recently, I watched an eye-opening presentation (starting at 49 min. mark) by Wendell Cox about our region’s transportation and land-use policies. The Seattle Times ran his article titled “Region’s transportation and land-use policies have little effect on traffic congestion.” It’s an excellent read!

WOODSTOVE LEGISLATION

I have received a number of calls on House Bill 2326, the woodstove burning bill. I want to clarify that I did not support this measure. The legislation gives the Department of Ecology authority over woodstove use, particularly uncertified woodstoves. Apparently, parts of Pierce County did not meet federal air quality standards about 10 days each year. It amounts to more government intervention in our personal lives.

ELECTION-YEAR RESTRICTIONS

I want to remind you that because this is an election year, my legislative communications to you are restricted. After May 11, I am no longer allowed to send e-mail updates, such as this one. Hopefully, there is enough information in this e-mail to keep you busy for several months. After June 30, I am unable to initiate communications with constituents by mail or e-mail unless you contact me about an issue or request information. If you contact me, I can respond as a normal course of my work as your legislator. The mailing restrictions will remain in place until Dec. 1, 2012.

I appreciate all your support during my time in the Legislature. Please continue to contact me during the interim if you have any concerns, comments or need assistance with a state issue.

Sincerely,

Candidate for Washington State Governor / Attorney General Rob McKenna: Question of the Week; “Obamacare” the Individual Mandate

No spin, here is a clear and reasoned response from AG McKenna to discuss, explain and predict the outcome of Obamacare (aka PPACA).  The decision made by the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) will, in my humble opinion, decide whether the United States remains a “republic” based on “free market principles” and the individual’s rights of property, liberty and the pursuit thereof.  Do not be silent on this one.  Our Country’s vision to be the shining example of Freedom and Liberty depends on the silent to be silent no more.

From “Hope & Change” to “Fear, Envy & Hate”

There is a sweet wind blowing throughout the United States.  With this breeze we will sweep the foul stench of tyranny and “real” oppression from the shining star upon the hill, known as “America”.  If we persevere to bring about the “real” change that American’s hope for, what will that look like?  Will it be a chicken in every pot because the government gives it to us?  Or, will it be a chicken, or pork, or beef, or fish, or vegetable of our choosing, because we have regained the ability to provide it for ourselves?

I choose the latter of these scenarios and if the writings of Gerald Molen can help to inspire and strengthen the sweet smell of “freedom”, then let’er rip, snort and gale across this great land of ours.

As a local folk singer so succinctly put it: “This land is your land.  This land is my land.  From California to the New York Islands.  From the Redwood Forests to the Gulf Stream Waters.  This land was made for You and Me!” ~ Woodie Guthrie 1945

Please enjoy this little ballad and the article I’ve posted below for those of us who want to bring the “Hope and Change” that America so desperately needs to restore us to the Foundations of it’s greatness.

OSCAR-WINNING PRODUCER OF 'SCHINDLER'S LIST' SLAMS OBAMA, SALUTES BREITBART

by HOLLYWOODLAND 15 hours ago 100POST A COMMENT

Gerald R. Molen is an Oscar-winning film producer whose credits include "Rain Man," "Minority Report," "Twister," "Schindler's List" and "Jurassic Park."

My fellow patriots,

As we sit in our comfort-laden abodes, sipping our lattes or pink lemonades and either wishing the snow would be gone for another year or baseball season would start so there was something interesting to do, the world continues to move forward. But as we seek other interests, we are not listening to the sounds emanating from the world around us. If you would listen carefully you would recognize the woeful sounds of America gasping for its very breath of life and its inner soul.

Yes, the sounds are there. We just don't listen. We only hear (or see) what we want. As the country gasps for clarity of purpose, we the people figure someone or something else will come along and fix the problems for us. I don't think so. The warning signs have been there for a long time. A very long time. It is my humble opinion that, during these turbulent times, we find ourselves in the dilemma of our lifetimes. As a country we have been either asleep or just too comfortable in our own cocoons to realize the depth of our plight.

An event took place in 2008 that changed the world we live in. It changed the face of America, it changed the direction of our moral values, it changed how we view the future and how we see ourselves as human beings and it changed the make up of our basic freedoms that we so irreverently tossed aside for entitlement freebies and empty promises by the engineers at the helm.

What Motivates Obama?

I am not a big fan of Dick Morris, but this video clip put out by Mr. Morris, is the best encapsulation of what’s happened the past three years.

What Mr. Morris says here, goes hand in glove with the conclusions of Fredrich Hayek; “Socialism will never succeed over Capitalism unless it is done on a global basis.”  Hayek’s studies also proved another dire consequence of Socialism (Marxism and Communism, not excluded) is that it “always” ends in TYRANNY!

Mr. Morris’s theory also aligns with the goals of the United Nations for Agenda 21, if you understand that Agenda 21 is merely a global effort to create a global government of choice, which is “Socialism on a global scale”.  Can any of you say, “New World Order”?

The biggest challenge we have today is, which of the other Presidential Candidates will remove the United States from the United Nations and leave Agenda 21 in ashes.  They cannot successfully implement Agenda 21 without the United States, and the U.S. Constitution is our only protection from their end game.

Please watch the video and especially if you agree that this is the explanation of what has, is and will happen to the United States economic system, please share this far and wide.

Let Congress Know How “You” Want to be Represented

Speaker Boehner is asking to hear from you on the Keystone Pipeline proposal.

The Keystone Pipeline endeavor has been in the works for three years, has passed approval of the EPA,is solely funded by private capital, but is being prevented from passage by the Obama Administration’s failure to act on it.  The Obama Administration has the opportunity to give a “thumbs up” yes, or a “thumbs down” no.  The fact is that Obama wants this to be a plus for his 2012 campaign by appearing to be against the project now, but soon after his election he is expected to approve the project to reward the labor vote.

The United States needs reliable energy sources now, reliable jobs now, without being a puppet to the politicians and their elections.

Let Congress, Senate and the Obama Administration know how you feel.  Is a Social Security temporary tax reduction of $40.00 per week (which further risks that Social Security will become insolvent, sooner) a positive thing for government to be concerned with?  Or, should our elected representatives get out of the way of a private venture that will bring energy, jobs and much needed tax revenue to states and federal coffers?

VIDEO: If You Were President – And Could Help Create Thousands of Jobs – What Would You Do?

Posted by Bryant Avondoglio, Don Seymour, and Michael Ricci on January 12, 2012

What would you do if you were president and, with one decision, could help create at least 20,000 jobs in the United States?

That’s the question posed by a new video released 21 days after President Obama signed legislation giving him until February 21st to decide on the popular Keystone XL pipeline extension.

Say Good-bye to Your HSA & High Deductible–Low Premium Health Care Plans

The best change to the Health Insurance Industry has been the high deductible, Health Savings Accounts.  Not only do Health Savings Accounts (H.S.A.) curb the abuse and overuse of medical services, encourage market place shopping for service and products, the premiums are affordable and the money deposited in your H.S.A. is yours!  These funds stay in your account and are used for co-pays, deductibles, health incendiaries, prescriptions, you name it.  Plus!, whatever’s left in the plan is still yours.

The traditional health insurance plan’s are like owning a boat, you dump a “heck-of-a-lot-of-moola” into them, for very little return, unless you need serious medical care.

The thought that H.S.A.’s will be lost to the consumer is tragic and will likely keep many families awake at night, trying to figure out how they are going to afford to pay for health insurance that they don’t use, and still have to pay out of pocket for their co-pays and deductibles, with no benefit to themselves.  You might as well not be insured and save the monthly insurance premium, then wait until something tragic happens to get on insurance.  The Obama Administration says that this is not their intention, but the structure of Obamacare encourages the exact behavior they say they want to prevent.

ObamaCare Rule May Bar HSAs, Low-Cost Health Plans

By DAVID HOGBERG , INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY Posted 12/07/2011 06:53 PM ET

"If you are among the hundreds of millions of Americans who already have health insurance through your job, or Medicare, or Medicaid, or the VA,... View Enlarged Image

A new Obama administration rule could drive out of the market the low-cost, high deductible plans that are supposed to be available under ObamaCare. That would likely mean a sharp jump in taxpayer subsidies.

The problem stems in large part from contradictions in the hastily written health care overhaul.

Starting in 2012, ObamaCare requires insurers in the individual or small group (small business) market to spend at least 80% of premiums on medical costs, leaving 20% for salaries, advertising, fraud prevention, profit, etc. For large groups, this medical loss ratio (MLR) must be 85%.

But another section of the law establishes the actuarial value of plans that can be sold on exchanges, which will cater to individuals and small groups. A bronze plan is allowed to have an actuarial value of 60%, meaning the insurer pays 60% of health care costs and the policyholder 40%. A silver plan can have a 70% value. Lower-actuarial plans tend to have lower MLR requirements. Click here to read the full story.

By Jove!, I do believe He’s got it!

This short video is the best illustration of the the dis-similarities of the Tea Partiers and the Occupiers.

Tea Party supporters believe that individual responsibility has been replaced with a big government nanny, who pretends to be able to provide a utopian existence for everyone.  The Tea Party solution is to “cut” government spending, reduce taxes, reduce regulation and unleash the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in all human beings. When this spirit is allowed to grow and flourish it feeds the ability for anyone to reach as far as they desire to.

Occupy supporters believe that society has failed to provide a big enough safety net to fulfill the dreams of everyone, because the “greedy” do not give enough back to the society that made them rich.  The Occupy solution is to “increase” government spending, increase taxes, and create more regulation. They believe the prevention of an individual from attaining too much prosperity, enforces things to remain “equal” for everyone, regardless of effort and risk. This belief is that equal outcomes will create social justice for all.

How do you spell, “Too big to fail”?  You decide…History has shown that one of these approaches always works and the other always fails.  The common problem for both movements is government.  The solution is as different as night and day.  Constant interference by the government through taxation, fees, and regulation, has created a loss of the individuals right to use their property for pursuit of prosperity for themselves and their family, In retrospect, government has grown so big, so fast, and now has so much debt, even the wealthy cannot repay all that debt.

The only similarity these two movements have is that they both realize that the political system has broken down and become something unrecognizable to the vision of the Our Founders.

Are you part of the solution…or part the problem?

FreedomWorks.com is a leader in bringing people who support the goals; to stop deficit spending and to the restoration of “States” rights, as designated in the U.S. Constitution.  How can we realize these goals?

Tea Parties across the nation value their independence and resist centralized power at all costs.  This philosophy may cause their message to be diluted, if the message is not focused and easily understood for the nation.  FreedomWorks.com is a tool to reach out to anyone who believes that solutions to the U.S. economy can only be realized when politics represents the People, and returns to the People the rights which the U.S. Constitution guarantees to them.

The following post is from FreedomWorks.com and asks everyone who wishes to participate in finding a solution to the U.S. deficit read the Tea Party Commission budget.  If you find (as I have) that this is a viable solution to the $15 trillion (plus) deficit now encumbering the U.S. economy, then please join FreedomWorks.com to grow in numbers and urge Congress to bring this budget plan to the floor of Congress and be heard.  The Tea Party Coalition has developed a budget which reduces the deficit by $9.7 trillion over 10 years, with the bulk of that reduction happening in the first two years.  It is a bold plan that will take a huge effort on our part to push out into the public forum.

Will you be part of the solution?  Your Country needs problem solvers, not more whining!

Oh Oh. "Regulated" Derivative Markets About To Blow Up?

This is getting bad....

Oh boy.

Look folks, the risks involved here are real.

Rick Santelli was just on CNBC pointing out that there have been no answers forthcoming on the MF Global mess.  There are reports that several people who you would never expect to have gotten caught in something like this did, including Gerald Celente.

The reason they got caught is the same reason I would have gotten caught if I had been clearing through MF Global: Despite being around the markets since well before the 2000 crash and having successfully negotiated that and the 2008 mess everyone has believed, right up until MF blew up, that customer funds were in fact segregated and thus this risk would never occur.

Simply put everyone has now discovered that this assumption is wrong.

How Congress Occupied Wall Street

Politicians who arrive in Washington as men and women of modest means leave as millionaires. Why?

By SARAH PALIN (link to article)

Mark Twain famously wrote, "There is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress." Peter Schweizer's new book, "Throw Them All Out," reveals this permanent political class in all its arrogant glory. (Full disclosure: Mr. Schweizer is employed by my political action committee as a foreign-policy adviser.)

Mr. Schweizer answers the questions so many of us have asked. I addressed this in a speech in Iowa last Labor Day weekend. How do politicians who arrive in Washington, D.C. as men and women of modest means leave as millionaires? How do they miraculously accumulate wealth at a rate faster than the rest of us? How do politicians' stock portfolios outperform even the best hedge-fund managers'? I answered the question in that speech: Politicians derive power from the authority of their office and their access to our tax dollars, and they use that power to enrich and shield themselves.

sarahpalinAssociated Press

The money-making opportunities for politicians are myriad, and Mr. Schweizer details the most lucrative methods: accepting sweetheart gifts of IPO stock from companies seeking to influence legislation, practicing insider trading with nonpublic government information, earmarking projects that benefit personal real estate holdings, and even subtly extorting campaign donations through the threat of legislation unfavorable to an industry. The list goes on and on, and it's sickening.

Tea Party proposes Budget for US Senate; Schumer & Reid shut them off

Yesterday, FreedomWorks.org had scheduled a hearing for the United States Senate to address the work done by members of FreedomWorks.org.  They requested this hearing to propose cuts for the Federal budget that would receive support from Tea Party supporters, nationwide.  There were $9.7 trillion dollars in cuts proposed, for the U.S. Senate to consider.  This hearing was shut down by Senator Schumer (D-NY)and Senate Speaker Harry Reid (D-NV).  They wouldn’t even allow “the People”, who had traveled from afar, to present their finding to the Senate, at the seat of “the People”.

Senator Lee (R-UT) led the group to a nearby facility at Hillsdale College, where they were then able to speak to the Senators who walked with the FreedomWorks.org group, and listen to the presentation being brought forth by “the People”.

Please enjoy this short video of what happened there and I encourage you to follow the link to their proposed cuts and see for yourself, how easily the Federal government could get our fiscal house in order if they only had the principles to do so.

This is a very recent YouTube clip from OWS where they are having “Teach-Ins” that espouse anti-capitalism.  This video has a moment of truth that the progressive/communist/socialist/marxist/ecologarcists have infiltrated all sectors of government, including our U.S. Military.  The U.S. Military is empowered to protect the U.S. Constitution and should never be allowed to have this type of rhetoric taught to those entrusted to protect the Country.Sus Devp (small)

PPAHCA (ObamaCare) to be heard by the Supreme Court in 2012

Hallelujah!  The nightmarish scenario of a mandatory, “one-size-fits-all” health insurance, will be heard by the Supreme Court, in 2012.  Since ObamaCare was crammed through the Congress and Senate in a ‘quasi’ legal, yet less than politically desirable construct, I have patiently waited to see if the Supreme Court would hear this case.

The Founders intent is that the many States act as mini-incubators of choices that are the true genius of our Country.  Because the United States and our many Counties had once been self determining entities, living under the protection of the State and Federal government’s protection to conduct commerce across state lines and internationally, the United States grew in wealth and economic strength; “A jewel to be aspired to”.  The States and Federal government “may” act as a bridge to ensure that commerce “can” take place in an equally just manner. The States and Federal government, “should not” force private individuals to purchase products, just because a bureaucrat believes that this could be a fabulous idea for “all”.

Centralized, top down, socialized governance will destroy the U.S. Constitution and it will destroy the brilliance of our Country’s ability to feed ourselves, and thus our ability to feed (and influence) the rest of the world to reach-up to our example.  If socialized, communized, marxized government, was capable of attaining the nirvana the Progressives claim, there would be somewhere in history to prove it.  There is “no proof”, anywhere in the world’s history that shows anything except famine, mediocrity and misery, as a result of centralized government.  It is because of our uniqueness, which enables private individual’s to produce and thus create wealth, that the citizen’s of the United States have so much compassion for others.  Without this wealth and potential for wealth, the U.S. citizen’s would behave no differently than the people from countries such as Cuba, Venezuela, Russia and the many other centrally governed populace’s…they would act only in their own self interest to keep what little they have.

Please enjoy this article from Rivkin and Casey, contributor’s to the Wall Street Journal.  Their piece is well written and well reasoned as to the outcome of the Supreme Court’s hearing on “ObamaCare”!

ObamaCare and the Limits of Government

When asked if the health law was constitutional, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi sneered, 'Are you serious?' Now the Supreme Court has decided it's a worthy question.

By DAVID B. RIVKIN JR. AND LEE A. CASEY

The Supreme Court has agreed to decide whether ObamaCare is constitutional, granting certiorari in a case brought by 26 states shortly after that law was enacted in March of last year. In so doing, it will be ruling upon the very nature of our federal union.

The Constitution limits federal power by granting Congress authority in certain defined areas, such as the regulation of interstate and foreign commerce. Those powers not specifically vested in the federal government by the Constitution or, as stated in the 10th Amendment, "prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people." The court will now determine whether those words still have meaning.

The President's health-care law faces a Constitutional reckoning, Daniel Henninger discusses on Opinion Journal. Photo: AP.

As we argued two years ago in these pages, the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act (aka ObamaCare) is unconstitutional. First and foremost, the law requires virtually every American to have health insurance. Congress purported to impose this unprecedented "individual mandate" pursuant to its constitutional power to regulate interstate commerce, but the requirement is not limited to those who engage in any particular commercial or economic activity (or any activity at all). Rather, the mandate applies to everyone lawfully present in the United States who does not fall within one of the law's narrow exclusions.

Under our Constitution's system of dual sovereignty, only states have the authority to impose health and safety regulations on individuals simply because they are present. The Supreme Court has ruled many times that the Constitution denies to the federal government this type of "general police power." Federal legislation must be grounded in one of the "enumerated" powers the Constitution grants to Congress—such as the power to regulate interstate commerce. Although the Supreme Court has interpreted that power broadly (especially since the 1940s), it has consistently held that the Commerce Clause has limits.

Abramoff Sings about Congressional Insider Trading

Love him or hate him, Jack Abramoff is out of jail and singing like a bird about how the political elite “legally” make money off of insider trading, while private citizen’s are run down with pitchforks for the same behavior.  Even if it were proven that a politician made money from insider advice through political legislation, they would not be charged with a crime.  The Stock Act H.R. 4188 was written in January of 2009, by none other than our own Representative Brian Baird (D-WA), and it has yet to come out of committee for a vote.  Now how is this equal justice under the law?  Shelly wonders why  the politically elite are tone deaf to movements like “the Tea Party” and the “Occupiers” who rise-up specifically because of this type of preferential treatment?

Another great story dealing with the same subject will be aired on CBS, Sunday night, November 13, 2011 at 7:00pm ET/PT.  Here's a brief tidbit from the online story that should've been told many decades ago.  It's this type of disparity that keeps the law abiding citizen's from fully engaging in the political process, because we all know that thus far it's a rigged game and the only people who can fix this are the people.  As is said in the article; "Throw them All Out!"  We need moral, principled people in public office representing the "People", not the "Parties"!

Congress insiders: Above the law?

(CBS News)  Preview: InsidersMartha Stewart went to jail for it. Hedge fund honcho Raj Rajaratnam was fined $92 million and will go to jail for years for it. But members of Congress can do the same thing -use non-public information to make stock trades -- and there's no law against it. Steve Kroft reports on how America's lawmakers can legally make tidy profits on information only they know, simply because they won't pass a law against themselves. The report will be broadcast on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
Among the revelations in Kroft's report:
* Members of Congress have bought stock in companies while laws that could affect those companies were being debated in the House or Senate. Click here to read the full story.
