“Smart Growth” Hidden in the Heartland of the United States…

Whether it’s called Smart Growth, Sustainability, Livability, Home, Vision, Tomorrow, Today, Friends or some other fuzzy word that doesn’t defend liberty, this lady’s got it right!

“Smart Growth” Hidden in Heart of Franklin, TN

Posted by Victoria Jackson on December 14, 2012 at 12:23 pm

There’s a cancer spreading across TN…and America…It’s insidious. It’s hiding in plain sight.

I was poking around Leiper’s Fork, TN looking for country singing stars and fantasizing that I was one, and that I owned a big ol’ cattle farm when I stumbled upon a free magazine (in existence only a year) from Journal Communications, (livability.com), that had big, lush photos of Williamson County. There was a gorgeous spread about a ‘non-profit’ called, “Friends of Franklin Parks,” which upon closer examination is connected to “Franklin Tomorrow.”

I had just asked Ken Freeman, co-creator of SB 477, (the strongest protection against the UN scheme (Agenda 21) passed anywhere in America so far…and that has had “virtually no mention in the establishment press,”) what a “smart growth” meeting looks like. Surprisingly, within two days I accidentally uncovered two “smart growth” publications, three “smart growth” NGO’s, a couple “smart growth” PPP’s, and a “smart growth” mayor who were all guilty of spreading this “smart growth”-Agenda 21-redistribution-disease.

Since my “Agenda 21” radar was on alert, this “Friends of Franklin Parks” article sent giant, red flags up, flares. Not one word in the article mentioned “Sustainability,” “Smart Growth,” or “Sustainable Development,” but I could still smell the putrid scent of communism disguised as ‘a vision of Franklin’s future development.’ There were other clue-words, parks, parks, parks, grant, non-profit, PPP (public-private-partnerships), population control, foundation, umbrella, grantors, future, public garden. So sneaky. Why, what could be bad about bicycle paths, reduced traffic and parks, parks, parks? Well, taking away private property to make the parks, parks, parks is one bad thing. Stealing a private farm to make it a government-owned public farm is a very bad thing. It’s the number one goal of Marxism and the United Nation’s Agenda 21 – separate citizens from their private property.

San Bernardino, CA continues to be victimized by A21

Had to share the latest from Rosa Koire’s blog.  San Bernardino, CA. used to the bread basket of the U.S. and lost invaluable farm land for the sake of a “smelt” that is not native to the area.  This should make everyone stop and pause a minute.  How nuts are we to stand for this totalitarian behavior?  The ability to adequately cope with societies needs to feed, shelter and cloth itself is primary to humanity.  When a “community” or a “communitarian ideal” looses their value of individual’s rights of liberty to be responsible for themselves, it is time for people to wake-up.  Wake-up your friends and neighbors.  Wake-up your elected representatives (who are “all” fully aware of A21).  Shut down this move to kill the American Dream in favor of sharing the American wealth, with the tyrants of the world, for the benefit of the United Nations Agenda for the 21st Century.

THE TRAVESTY OF THE DAY CLUB

07/11/2012Picture

The City of San Bernardino, CA has just declared bankruptcy. This is a page from their miserable confession. Look at the chart. It shows that they lied about the amount of money they actually had. The July 1st balance is the true balance and the Staff Reported Fund Balance is the lie. In 2011-12 the city was lying and saying it had $2 million when it was really over a million in the hole. What are the consequences for the liars? Well?

The newspapers are full of UN Agenda 21.  Just look at the front page on any day.
Now, today, there are two related stories in the news.  One is that the city of San Bernardino, California is bankrupt.

What they don't tell you is that this decidedly downscale town is ONE BILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT FOR REDEVELOPMENT BONDS.  You can probably buy the whole town for less than that.  So they were destroyed by the greed, manipulation, and conniving of the Redevelopment Agency.   We must remind you that Redevelopment is a funding and implementation arm for UN Agenda 21.  Government subsidies for smart growth--the preferred development style of UN A21. Click on the red and read the propaganda project summary that got San Bernardino into their death gasp--and then compare it to what your town is doing.  'Compass Blueprint' 'Sustainable Community Strategies'  or hardscape for your financial collapse and future poverty?

Communitarianism is the new vision for Communism ~ for “You”

Found this article on the Whatcom Excavator and decided to put together a collage of items that show how this is not a hoax.  This is not a joke.  This is a plan which has been well thought out, well funded, global in scope and well on its way.

“GREEN” is the new “RED”

What more do we need to know that hasn’t already been exposed?  The green movement was infiltrated and taken over by the red movement.  It was a perfect marriage.  The green movement is religiously based to the point of zealotry, but they insist that their Gaia worship is nothing like the Christian, Jewish, Catholic, Muslim or any other “faith” based worship.  The red movement is based in atheism, so they were easily able to merge into a “watermelon”.

As anyone who takes the time to deeply understand a watermelon, it’s tasty, juicy, sweet and there’s absolutely no nutritional value to it.

Are you fed-up with “greenies” influential take-over of local government and legislating a faith based, enviro-economy, that is bankrupting us all?  I am!

‘GREEN IS THE NEW RED:’ GBTV DISCUSSES GLOBAL WARMING AND RADICAL FACTIONS OF ENVIRONMENTALISM

The U.N. Conference on Sustainable Development closed Friday in Rio de Janeiro after having brought 100 world leaders and more than 45,000 people to Brazil to discuss reconciling economic and environmental aspirations. While the global summit itself has already cost tens of millions of dollars, world-wide adoption of far-reaching policy to address global warming may end up costing more. Glenn Beck sat down with several authors and analysts during his broadcast Friday who are skeptical of global warming and the effects of policy aimed at advocating green jobs. Twenty years ago the U.N. held the same summit in Rio that would give birth to a renewed enthusiasm in environmentalism and global warming awareness. The panel on GBTV Friday broke down the views and policy advocated by activists coming out of Rio in 1992, and how their predictions have proven to be inconsistent and extremely expensive.

Green ‘drivel’ exposed

The godfather of global warming lowers the boom on climate change hysteria

lorrie-goldstein

BY LORRIE GOLDSTEIN ,TORONTO SUN

FIRST POSTED: SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 2012 10:56 AM EDT | UPDATED: SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 2012 03:45 PM EDT

lovelockPicJames Lovelock is a world-renowned scientist and environmentalist.

Two months ago, James Lovelock, the godfather of global warming, gave a startling interview to msnbc.com in which he acknowledged he had been unduly “alarmist” about climate change.

The implications were extraordinary.

Lovelock is a world-renowned scientist and environmentalist whose Gaia theory — that the Earth operates as a single, living organism — has had a profound impact on the development of global warming theory.

Unlike many “environmentalists,” who have degrees in political science, Lovelock, until his recent retirement at age 92, was a much-honoured working scientist and academic.

His inventions have been used by NASA, among many other scientific organizations.

Lovelock’s invention of the electron capture detector in 1957 first enabled scientists to measure CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) and other pollutants in the atmosphere, leading, in many ways, to the birth of the modern environmental movement.

Having observed that global temperatures since the turn of the millennium have not gone up in the way computer-based climate models predicted, Lovelock acknowledged, “the problem is we don’t know what the climate is doing. We thought we knew 20 years ago.” Now, Lovelock has given a follow-up interview to the UK’s Guardian newspaper in which he delivers more bombshells sure to anger the global green movement, which for years worshipped his Gaia theory and apocalyptic predictions that billions would die from man-made climate change by the end of this century.

Is it any wonder?

When we indoctrinate the youth to believe unsubstantiated, thus false science as truth in our K-12 education, in our halls of higher learning, is it any wonder that the suicide rate is up?  Is it any wonder that the artistic community has turned to darkness?  Is this what we send our children to school for?  Wake-up and smell the hypocrisy that has been written into our text books, sold to the educators and is causing the next generation to believe that they are a cancer to “Mother Earth”.

Give Youth A Hug ~ Share Scientific Truth Not Scientific Fear

The brain washing that has, is and continues to happen to today’s youth is infuriating.  When unproven propaganda is put out as truth and facts of science, it has a devastating effect on our youth.  Science has an obligation to only publish that which is provable through scientific process, not “scientific outcomes of a potential effect”.

WUWT published this piece that stems from a publication put out by the “IEA” on the “potential” for an 11 degrees Fahrenheit increase in earth’s temperature by 2050.  The earth’s overall temperature has increased less than 1 degree Fahrenheit since the turn of the century “and” the oceans have only risen 6 mm (the equivalent of the thickness of ‘6’ fingernails – as stated by Dr. Don Easterbrook, local Emeritus Professor of Geology), plus the provable fact that the global temperature has trended cooler since 1998.  This makes my heart ache for the youth of the world who are being lied to for the goals of UN A21 for Sustainable Development.

Give our Youth a hug.  Share the truth with them.  Show them the science they can trust, not the hope of those who want to control their lives with fear of the future.

A student in despair over Romm’s 11°F temperature increase article – if this comment was reversed, it would be called a ‘death threat’

Posted on May 29, 2012 by Anthony Watts

English: Fatih Birol, the Chief Economist of t...

This is sad. Joe Romm promotes another overt fabrication, and some poor kid writes in despair, hoping all the “oil/coal people” here die “a horrible death, preferably caused by climate disasters”. If that were sent to somebody at ANU, it would by the Appell/Stokes rule, be declared a “death threat”. Since it’s on Romm’s site, the poster gets sympathy and counseling instead of admonishment. See below.

First, Romm’s reporting of an overt fabrication of 11°F temperature rise by 2050 by Fatih Birol.

Fatih Birol, the Chief Economist of the International Energy Agency, at a conference in Vienna, 22 June 2009. Photo by Mikhail Evstafiev (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The claim of 11°F  comes from this Reuters news article . It cites Fatih Birol, the chief economist of the IEA, who says:

“When I look at this data, the trend is perfectly in line with a temperature increase of 6 degrees Celsius (by 2050), which would have devastating consequences for the planet,” Fatih Birol, IEA’s chief economist told Reuters.

Of course 6°C =11°F, and given the climate sensitivity figures bandied around by the IPCC, there doesn’t seem any way these numbers can pencil out.

Hans von Storch writes on Die Klimazwiebel that this is “pure alarmism”:

A forth interesting issue is that climate science has become irrelevant; it shows up in passing, when “limit devastating climate effects like crop failure and melting glaciers” is mentioned, and the quote “the trend is perfectly in line with a temperature increase of 6 degrees Celsius (by 2050)” is made. This is a pretty bold prediction, given that we have so far less than 1 degree warming since pre-industrial times, so that the warming must be more than 5 degrees/38 years, i.e., about 0.7-0.8 deg/decade. I consider this pure alarmism, which is related to the timing, and a misuse of scientific analysis for creating some unsustainable short term drama for the Bonn-negotiations.

I wonder if this 6-degrees claim is really from IEA, or just an addition by Fatih Birol, because is no not mentioned in the IEA’s announcement.

Even Joshua Halpern, aka “Eli Rabbet”, says in comments the claim by Birol makes no sense:

Not having a BS detector that works on himself, Romm runs with it, embellishing it with this bit of propaganda:

As Birol said of 11°F warming late last year, “Even School Children Know This Will Have Catastrophic Implications for All of Us.” If only school children ran the country.

And following his rant, we get this comment first up from a school age child:

And not one person in the thread following that comment, not Halpern, nor even Romm himself, says anything about the death wish, or even suggests to the poor kid that saying such things are unacceptable. There’s agreement in the silence.

I have to wonder though, if this commenter has ever driven or ridden in a car, or used electricity made from coal. Maybe he/she thinks such things are powered by the grace of the green energy fairy.

If the situation were reversed, Romm, Appell, Halpern, and the whole cast of haters would be all over it as yet another example of how terrible skeptics are.

Their double standard behavior is disturbing. Romm should be ashamed of himself, but he won’t be, because he’s paid a six figure salary to promote this garbage.

Lord Christopher Monckton–Agenda 21 & Environmental Marxism

The awareness of the global plan to impose Marxism on a global scale is growing.  Every day I see more people, bloggers and politicians, who are acknowledging its existence.

This quote comes directly from the United Nation’s online publication of the treaty on, “Agenda 21 for Sustainable Development”:

Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced - a major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action to be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level.

It is my firm belief that my comments are unnecessary.  You know that that thing you’ve been unable to put into words, with regards to the eroding conditions of the United States and other first world countries, is easily recognizable within the language of UN treaty, “A21 for Sustainable Development.”  This treaty will never be ratified and approved by our elected representatives in Washington DC, our States or even our Local Governments.  But!  As they continually impose the goals of UN/A21 for Sustainable Development through bits and pieces of regulations, this soft law is becoming the law of the land from sea to shining sea.

Push back, America!  Without our rights endowed upon us through our Constitutions and Charters, we will have no future for ourselves and our children.

A message from Rep. Jim McCune, May 10, 2012

clip_image001

Dear Friends,

We are finally receiving some nice weather and I’m glad to hear the lawnmowers and trimmers fired up in the neighborhoods. There are many of us still cleaning up from the winter storms. It would be much more convenient if we didn’t have so many restrictions on how we utilize and care for our private property.

My office has received many calls from constituents commenting and lamenting on how boxed-in they feel with the never-ceasing rules and regulations directing their behavior. Authority over the use of our natural resources has been intertwined with many agencies—governmental and non-governmental. It’s rather sad that we must have permission to put overhangs on our shops to keep water off our equipment, or remove a fallen tree that is creating a water hazard, and that we could be fined for cutting down a tree on our own property. The stories are never-ending.

It’s difficult to comprehend how America (and the globe) became so enamored with the term “sustainability,” the rule-making system in place that guides policies. By reviewing the history of the concept and the background of those who funded, wrote and promoted the concept, we can see a pattern that is too obvious to ignore.

There are many pieces to understanding “sustainability.” Start by checking out the Town and Country Planning Act of 1947 in the United Kingdom (UK). It is famous for a number of its provisions. It greatly strengthened the control of local authorities over planning and land use. You can see sample chapters here. Please note the watermark UNESCO-EOLSS. The provisions in this document read like provisions in America. How did they get here?

Tracing “sustainability” is easy. Just go to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Web site. What is difficult is understanding why America is embracing and implementing this foreign agenda, not to mention sifting through the voluminous pages of research and information about it. For a visual explanation, watch this video. Yes, gaining this knowledge will require a good chunk of your time, but without this knowledge, we will continue to give away our individual rights that were given to us through the blood of our ancestors, and destroy the fabric of our liberty guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and the Washington State Constitution.

In earlier e-mail updates, I cited information about the Earth Charter (look under non-governmental organizations) and how our own Department of Ecology promotes it on their Web site. Here is an easy-to-read article from the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law that explains the Earth Charter. A constitution for the environment has been written. You can read all about it and more here. For a short synopsis, click here.

According to Noah Webster, “sustainable” means: That may be sustained or maintained. The action is not sustainable. What does “sustainability” mean today? It means a new norm for ethical living described by Gro Harlem Brundtland (first Vice-President of the Socialist International and then prime minister of Norway) in her report, Our Common Future. “Sustainability” is meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We are told that painful choices have to be made. Thus, in the final analysis, sustainable development must rest on political will. Who will define what our “needs” are? We must determine whose code of ethics we shall live by—those of our Founders or a global mix of confusion?

EDUCATION

How does education fit in with the “sustainable” agenda?

What is the focus of education today? Factual knowledge? As a reminder, here is the link to a speech by Dr. Shirley McCune (former OSPI employee under Terry Bergeson) discussing the restructuring of schools and telling us that education is no longer about teaching facts. Note, this astounding and applauded speech was back in 1989. An article titled A Changing Vision of Education by Nancy Carlsson-Paige and Linda Lantieri mirrors the vision described by Dr. Shirley McCune in her lecture. Does her philosophy align with your understanding of the purpose of education?

Now we have the federal government promising grant money to states that adopt Common Core State Standards (CCSS). We have Marc Tucker’s American Agenda for Education Reform. Marc Tucker designed the failed WASL. Marc Tucker (pg. 6) is famous for his “Dear Hillary” letter. Here is additional background on Marc Tucker’s influence on our country’s educational system, including RTTT and CCSS. Why is he considered an expert? There is no shortage of information on this subject.

BUDGETS (State and Federal)

As I mentioned in my end-of-session mailer, because of my concerns with the very low reserve it left, I could not support the supplemental budget. I also feel we can do a better job of controlling our spending. The federal government is setting a poor example for states and all entities. It is important you know what the budget breakdown looks like at the federal level. There is a trickledown effect. The state relies on a great amount of money from the federal government. The current debt at the federal level is $13 trillion. You can find a budget breakdown here: Background on Budget and Economy.

TRANSPORTATION

My interest in the history of our state’s Growth Management Act (GMA) led me to a very interesting interview with former Rep. Joe King. He said he was stuck in traffic and wanted to do something about unplanned growth. That was 25 years ago. Is the plan (GMA) that was put in place working?

Recently, I watched an eye-opening presentation (starting at 49 min. mark) by Wendell Cox about our region’s transportation and land-use policies. The Seattle Times ran his article titled “Region’s transportation and land-use policies have little effect on traffic congestion.” It’s an excellent read!

WOODSTOVE LEGISLATION

I have received a number of calls on House Bill 2326, the woodstove burning bill. I want to clarify that I did not support this measure. The legislation gives the Department of Ecology authority over woodstove use, particularly uncertified woodstoves. Apparently, parts of Pierce County did not meet federal air quality standards about 10 days each year. It amounts to more government intervention in our personal lives.

ELECTION-YEAR RESTRICTIONS

I want to remind you that because this is an election year, my legislative communications to you are restricted. After May 11, I am no longer allowed to send e-mail updates, such as this one. Hopefully, there is enough information in this e-mail to keep you busy for several months. After June 30, I am unable to initiate communications with constituents by mail or e-mail unless you contact me about an issue or request information. If you contact me, I can respond as a normal course of my work as your legislator. The mailing restrictions will remain in place until Dec. 1, 2012.

I appreciate all your support during my time in the Legislature. Please continue to contact me during the interim if you have any concerns, comments or need assistance with a state issue.

Sincerely,

Is this Crony Capitalism or Crony Socialism

When the argument is made that there is an unholy alliance between our local, publicly elected representatives and Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s), like Sustainable Connections, Futurewise, the Opportunity Council, ReSources for Sustainable Communities (see an underlining theme here?), we were not kidding.

It has recently come to my attention that there was a large hand-out given to “Sustainable Connections and The Opportunity Council” of federal stimulus funds from the Department of Energy (DOE).  These funds were tagged for the Community Enercy Challenge (CEC), granted to our Whatcom County government, to be administered through Banner Bank, a local bank.  These funds were expected to fly out the doors as small businesses and private individuals scooped up the $467,000.00 of grant money available for Whatcom County.  After approximately 2+ years, they had only given out 20% of these funds.  So, what did the Whatcom County Council, with the blessings of the Whatcom County Executive do?  They gave the remaining 80% of these funds over to Sustainable Connections and the Opportunity Council to give-away.

As I listen to the local radio stations, I hear numerous radio ads telling people how they can get “free” money to use for “green” energy projects and get “free” energy credits for years to come.  News flash; “Nothing is free!”  This money cost somebody, something and the funds came from the unspent stimulus package, that should’ve gone back to help pay down the skyrocketing debt our local, state and federal government is racking up.  Who is going to pay that debt?  The politicians who so blithely give it away?  No!  Those of us who actually pay taxes will be on the hook for every blessed penny.

Now before you say; “So what?”  Remember, the Whatcom County Council is obligated to make the distribution of these funds public.  Sustainable Connections and the Opportunity Council, are not required to make the distribution of these funds public.  Now the DOE has the authority to audit these funds, but that does not make this a transparent transaction for you and I to see that this money is spent as required.

When the public coffers are ripe with mismanagement, we are broke, TEA’d off, and frustrated by the unfettered spending in government at all levels, how come this continues to happen?

Well take a look at the Whatcom County Council’s own memo presented to the Whatcom County Council budget appropriations meeting, by the County Executive.

Now take a look at this screen shot from the Executive’s campaign website that has been saved for posterity.

Is this crony capitalism, or crony socialism?  I say, crony socialism, because these NGO’s are shutting down the U.S. Constitution, the Washington State Constitution, Whatcom County Charter and Bellingham City Charter, as they were originally written to promote growth, freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, as inalienable rights of all “free” citizens.  How is this done?  Through fiscal, social manipulation of the tax dollars, which are increasingly used to pick life’s winners and losers.  No longer is it the hard work of an individual that gets rewarded.  It is whomever and however you can convince these NGO’s and their complicit political partners (PPP’s) to give tax dollars to the chosen few.

YiT,  Shelly

image   Louws & Sustainable Connections

I ask you to decide, did Whatcom County elect a true conservative who is dedicated to protect and defend your rights as a “private individual”?  Or, did Whatcom County elect a County Executive dedicated to “the Collective”?

Democrats Against UN A21 for Sustainable Development

Quick update:  Found this on a fraternal site and felt that it needed to be added to this post.  It clearly shows “why” Canada has had the foresight to remove their Country from the lunacy of A21:

Rosa Koire, like Tom DeWeese, is a golden voice speaking out for us all to wake-up.  Wake-up? Wake-up from what?  From the warm and fuzzy tales of a world made-up of gumballs and fairytales, a world of social justice where everyone has a chicken in the pot, a bed to lie in and the birds and bees have a seat at the table with you.  Except when you do wake-up you realize that the only birds and bees you get to see are in zoos, your pot of chicken is from a can of mostly sodium flavored water, and the gumballs are actually the myriad of lights from the hi-rises and mass transit beneath the view from your balcony, if you’re lucky enough to have a balcony.

Learn why people from all over the world are waking-up to the goals of the United Nations Agenda 21 for Sustainable Development.  Canada has woken up and they have left the table of the Kyoto protocols for UN A21 for Sustainable Development.  Will America wake-up?  She will if we all work together and stop the insanity.

YiT,  Shelly

SOUNDS LIKE SCIENCE FICTION...OR SOME CONSPIRACY THEORY...BUT IT ISN'T.

Have you wondered where these terms 'sustainability' and 'smart growth' and 'high density urban mixed use development' came from?  Doesn't it seem like about 10 years ago you'd never heard of them and now everything seems to include these concepts?  Is that just a coincidence?  That every town and county and state and nation in the world would be changing their land use/planning codes and government policies to align themselves with...what?
First, before I get going, I want to say that yes, I know it's a small world and it takes a village and we're all one planet etc.  I also know that we have a democracy and that as cumbersome as that can be sometimes (Donald Rumsfeld said that the Chinese have it easy; they don't have to ask their people if they agree.  And Bush Junior said that it would be great to have a dictator as long as he was the dictator), we have a three branch government and the Bill of Rights, Constitution, and self-determination.  This is one of the reasons why people want to come to the US, right?  We don't have Tiananmen Square here, generally speaking (yes, I remember Kent State--not the same, and yes, an outrage.) So I'm not against making certain issues a priority, such as mindful energy use, alternative energy sponsorship, recycling/reuse, and sensitivity to all living creatures.

What is Global Governance 2025?

Why is the United States government publishing documents like this?  If you know the answer, share it, because the obvious answer is that this is the long term goal.  Where will that leave you and I?

Tom DeWeese speech at the local Northwest Business Club luncheon of November 9, 2011

Last month, the renowned Tom DeWeese of “The American Policy Center” was the featured speaker for the Northwest Business Clubs monthly luncheon.  Mr. DeWeese entertained the crowd with his vast knowledge about Agenda 21 for Sustainable Development, ICLEI, NGO’s and their threat to the United States Constitution. See the link to my previous recap of the event.

The speech was video taped and has been made available to the general public to help educate and inform all who will take the time to listen and learn the truth.  This is part one of a five part video.  Please click here to go to the other video links.

All Politics is Local ~ Anti-Growth measures are best fought at the local level to protect liberty

“All politics is local”, is a well tread slogan, by former Speaker of the House, Tip O’Neill

What that means is that the real power in politics is at the local level.  This is born out in the fact that the ability to affect the economy of a community has always been at the behest of the locally elected politicians.  Local politicians whine and moan that they have to do things the local property owners object to, because the State or Federal government forces them to.  The reality is that they do these things in order to get funding from the State or Federal government(s), not because they have to.  If our local communities were to live within their economic means, their tax base, then the State or Federal government could do very little to force them to over regulate the individual rights and liberties of private citizens.

Enjoy this well written article that warns us of the dangers of Agenda 21 for Sustainable Development (A21), but explains that it is not A21 that we must fear.  What we must protect ourselves from is the growing number of NGO’s who dangle the carrot stick of money, to fund the ever growing desires of local politicians to bring home the bacon, even if it means hog tying their citizens to an international agenda, through local regulations.

United Nations

Focus on Agenda 21 Should Not Divert Attention from Homegrown Anti-Growth Policies

By Wendell Cox , Ronald Utt, Ph.D. and Brett Schaefer
December 1, 2011

Abstract: Agenda 21, a voluntary plan adopted at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, unabashedly calls on governments to intervene and regulate nearly every potential impact that human activity could have on the environment. However, Agenda 21 is non-binding; it depends on governments for implementation. If opponents focus excessively on Agenda 21, it is much more likely that homegrown smart-growth policies that undermine the quality of life, personal choice, and property rights in American communities will be implemented by local, state, and federal authorities at the behest of environmental groups and other vested interests. Preventing American implementation of Agenda 21 should therefore be viewed as only one part of a broader effort to convince U.S. government officials to repeal destructive smart-growth programs and prevent the enactment of new ones.

Radical environmentalists, local business groups, and the ever-present Not in My Backyard crowd have been trying for decades to reshape American communities to conform to their preferred “smart growth” policies. These advocates work to impose land use regulations that would force Americans into denser living arrangements, curtail freedom of choice in housing, discriminate against lower-income Americans, and compel people to pay more for their houses and give up their cars in favor of subways, trolleys, buses, and bicycles.

Obama’s EPA continues to over reach. Now they want control over your puddles and ditches!

File:Statueofliberty.JPGThere has been talk of neutering the EPA by many of the current GOP, Presidential Candidates.  History has shown us that any human entity, if given enough time and power, will always begin to meddle and abuse their power.  Whether it is from a lack of anything more purposeful to do, and a need to show others that they deserve the power that’s been given to them.  Or, from a truly sincere (albeit misplaced) desire to do good.  The EPA has been and continues to run roughshod over the Constitution and “everyone’s” rights of property as protected and upheld by the Supreme Court.

Currently the EPA is destroying the viable energy sources with their interpretation of “Global Warming” and Co2 emissions.  Now, they plan to do the same by re-interpreting what “bodies” of water the Federal government has the right(s) to regulate.

Truth is always scarier than fiction.  First they came for the control of your money, then they came for the control of your air, presently they are gaining control and locking up the land and shortly they will do the same to your water.  All of these elements are integral to the US Citizen’s “Rights of Property”.

Okay, I am saying it again! Agenda 21 for Sustainable Development, is stealing “the American Dream”.  Please, let’s clean house of these globalists who have corrupted the Constitution to the point that the Youth are being lied to in our Sus Devp (small)public schools and won’t even know what true freedom and liberty is.

Obama Administration and EPA Use Clean Water Act for New Overreach

Prepare To Have That Puddle in Your Back Yard Regulated.

Posted by Ben Howe (Diary)

Monday, November 21st at 5:00PM EST

Just as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has used the Clean Air Act to broaden the scope of their authority way beyond its original intention with rules like MACT and

CSAPR, the Clean Water Act is becoming a tool of overreach by the out of control agency.

Barack Obama and the EPA’s Lisa Jackson have made it clear through their actions that they will circumvent the legislature by using regulatory enforcement to enact Obama’s green dreams, and now it seems that circumvention includes the Supreme Court of the United States.

During the Bush presidency, a series of Supreme Court decisions acknowledged the limits of reach for the Clean Water Act. Most notably, the Supreme Court clarified that federal jurisdiction did not extend to wetlands and other “waters of the United States” under the Clean Water Act.  Through the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook Country v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (2001) and Raponos v. U.S. (2006) the Supreme Court established that private property rights still mattered even in light of the Clean Water Act and that the federal government did not have authority over them.

This of course isn’t stopping Barack Obama and Lisa Jackson from moving forward anyway.  Click here to read the full story.

Tom DeWeese recap from Northwest Business Club luncheon from 11/9/11

Last week the Northwest Business Club hosted the renowned head of the American Policy Center, Tom DeWeese.  At the luncheon Mr. DeWeese spoke about Agenda 21, Sustainable Development in depth and local finance expert Richard Donahue, of Asset Advisors, recorded Mr. DeWeeses’s speech for his live, Saturday, radio program “Wealth Wake-up” on KGMI 790 AM.  I have linked to the audio version for you to listen to and share with your friends, family and contacts.

Mr. DeWeese has had Agenda 21’s role in “Sustainable Development” and ICLEI (you may notice that ICLEI has been working on the removing their ties to the United Nations and their International role) on his radar since the 1990’s.  As a lonely voice in the wilderness, Mr. DeWeese has trekked on to sound the alarm on the implementation of Agenda 21.  My goal here is to assist Mr. DeWeese in spreading the word, educating anyone who will take the time to read, listen and learn, how an international body of elitists have been planning to destroy the United States Constitution through local/state/federal implementation of this agenda.  What will be left when the protections that the U.S Constitution, the Washington State Constitution, the Whatcom County Charter and the Charter of the City of Bellingham, all have the language of Agenda 21, Sustainable Development as their guiding principle?  Since Agenda 21 is all about “sharing the wealth” on a global scale, there will be no protections afforded the citizen’s of the United States from the same tyrants and dictators that have wreaked havoc upon their citizen’s for centuries.

Listen closely to Mr. DeWeese’s words, take notes and educate yourself and others about Agenda 21.  As recently as Saturday, November 12th, 2011, at the South Carolina Republican Presidential debate, candidate Newt Gingrich spoke out about the United Nations and their role to implement Agenda 21 in the United States and around the globe.  So, with the help of many others, speaking out loud about Agenda 21, we can move it out of the shadows and into the light of consciousness for others.  Once everyone understands what Agenda 21 is and how it has been implemented in the shadows, outside of the political process, “We the People” can move to correct this massive fraud which has been intentionally perpetrated on “all” of us.

while it may be permissable to speak on "any issue", it would be highly helpful if occupy folks would aim for a focused, constructive, specific complaint or demand, so that the general public would have a better chance to understand and learn what the fuss is about.

It is my experience that there is always at least one representative of the 1% at County Council meetings. There needs to be at least 99 representatives from the 99% to achieve equity of attendance at County Council events.
