1980’s Debate: Piven-Sowell-Freidman

This week a 9.12 site which I subscribe to had a link to this treasure.  Please take the time to watch this 15 min. clip of Frances Fox Piven, Thomas Sowell and the late Milton Freidman, debate the reasoning and values of social equal justice vs individual equal justice.

Public Pension Plans ~ the Big Headache for All States of the Union

Governor Chris Christie discusses his plans to tackle the unfunded mandates of New Jersey public pensions.  The importance of his words are enormous and every governor of every state should be speaking out loudly and clearly on this issue.  The unfunded pension plans are what will take down each and every state if they are not dealt with soon.  Can you say "The Nationalist States of America"?  That's the implication, because if anyone thinks that the federal government will watch states like California, New York, New Jersey, etc., go under, you've got your head in the sand or someplace else.

Sarah Palin Addresses the Arizona, Pima County Shooting

Sarah Palin has been an enigma to me.  On first glimpse I was enthusiastically encouraged to vote in 2008.  Yes, if not for Sarah Palin’s name on the ticket, I am not certain that I would’ve exercised my right to vote that year.  Further down the road I must admit that the sprinkling of dialectic Palinism’s began to grate upon me.  Not the words themselves, but the frequency with which she uses them.  I have sporadically watched the “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” series and must admit that it’s not high drama, but I have enjoyed the few that I did.

Now out of the blue, Sarah Palin has responded to the tragedy of the massacre in Arizona’s Pima County with true grace and clarity.  Please take a moment to listen to her words and ask yourself…was the election results of 2010 about real change?  Was a large part of the 2010 election results a reaction of an electorate who want to take back their rights through individual responsibility for individual actions?  I believe that it was and if we are to push back the stranglehold that the Federal Government has placed upon the States, the States have placed upon the Counties, the Counties have placed upon the Communities, we must take those responsibilities seriously.

When a lone person, who had demonstrated through a series of unstable actions, finally breaks, the buck stops there.  If people want to assign blame, they must start with the perpetrator and end with the perpetrator.  The mental health of our public is fragile and when people have outbursts that show cause for mental health observation, as a family or friend, don’t be afraid to reach out and ask to help them or seek out for them a safer place.  Our society does not allow for the institutionalizing of others without voluntary committal or an act of crime.  So, in the end it is always the responsibility of the individual to own what they have done.  When I take an action the buck stops with me!

CCX Gets Capped ~ “wOOt!”

To quote the words of the “Rage Against the Kakistocracy” scribe; Karl Uppiano, “wOOt!”  Forbes has published an interesting article on the demise of CCX with the foul winds of the Cap & Trade (Tax) scheme.  After decades of regulatory manipulation and fabrication, they realized that there is no way to continue the charade that CO2 is the cause of all the worlds ill.  Anyone who has spent time understanding the needs of and make-up of the planet, understand that CO2 ‘is’ the life blood of the earth.  Why else are we ‘all’ largely constructed of carbon?

Please enjoy this morsel of the article and follow the link to the full article.  Remember the people involved from the beginning in this scheme and ask yourself; “How did they get so far?”  “Who is the Joyce Foundation?”  “How much money have they stolen from the People?”  Want the answer?  Follow the money…

The Bell Tells for You

The Chicago Climate Club Gets Capped

Larry Bell, 12.22.10, 12:00 PM EST

The amount of influential Democrats in this group is perhaps too coincidental.

I didn't receive an invitation to attend the annual holiday festivities sponsored by the Chicago Climate Club this year. Initially concerned that this might possibly be due to something I wrote in this column, a different reason is now apparent. The Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) has shut its doors in response to a different sort of climate change--one producing a cold political Northern that blew into the Windy City from the Great Plains and beyond on Nov. 2.

Consequently, many prominent officers, corporate affiliates and individual shareholders--many of whom you are likely to recognize--won't receive the public gifts they had hoped.

CCX was launched in 2003 as a "voluntary pilot agency" that aspired to become the New York Stock Exchange for Carbon-emission trading. Its planning was initiated thanks to a $345,000 grant from the Chicago-based Joyce Foundation to Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management to study and test the viability of a future carbon-credit market.

Class/Racial Warfare in Politics

Recently the Democratic strategists polled the 2010 elections and found to their shock that they had lost more of the ‘white’ vote since the 2003 elections, or possibly not even since the 1994 elections.  The polls indicated that the white base of their electorate were leaving not only because of the mounting massive debt increases, the economic downturn and malaise, but essentially because of the ‘platforms’ within the Democrat Party.

Please enjoy this short video for the story.
